We’re looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join a team delivering AI systems for a government client. You’ll turn prototypes and ideas into scalable, production-ready models, APIs, and agentic workflows. Previous experience on government or public sector projects is essential.
What you’ll do
- Develop and deploy machine learning models and AI-driven services.
- Build APIs and workflows to integrate ML into production systems.
- Scale prototypes into robust, reliable services.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
What we’re looking for
- Proven experience in applied machine learning, model deployment, and AI systems.
- Familiarity with building APIs and integrating ML into production services.
- Strong coding skills, particularly in Python.
- Experience with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Understanding of best practices for testing, monitoring, and maintaining ML models in production.
Nice to have
- Experience with data pipelines and orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow, Prefect).
- Familiarity with government or public sector technology environments.
- Interest in agentic AI workflows and responsible AI practices.
