About the Role
On behalf of our client in the Energy industry, Astek Canada is seeking a motivated Network Administrator - Fortinet ready to take on new challenges.
Your Responsibilities
As a Network Administrator - Fortinet, you will be responsible for:
- Ensure and maintain LAN, WAN and other telecommunication services that meet capacity, availability and reliability requirements.
- Participate in the development and strategy of the network infrastructure.
- Install, configure and manage various network and telecommunications equipment (switches, firewalls, antennas).
- Create firewall policies and access control lists, as well as the configuration of authentication, authorization and traceability functions.
- Analyze the impacts of different telecommunication solutions.
- Participate in projects to develop and improve the infrastructure.
- Set up network security, virtual private network (VPN), antivirus, firewalls and related network devices.
- Perform level 2 and 3 support to ensure the security, integrity and performance of local and wide area networks.
- Maintain documentation and standardization of environments.
- Actively participate in the implementation of best practices and the improvement of the environment to ensure its availability.
- Provide assistance for networking operations and carry out system maintenance activities.
- Collaborate in the selection and delivery of various IT solutions related to telecommunication and security.
Your Qualifications
Education/Experience:
- 5 to 7 years in network management.
- Diploma of college studies or Attestation of college studies in network management or equivalent.
- Have in-depth knowledge of concepts and technologies such as VPN solutions, routing protocols, switching, QOS, IP protocols, DNS, DHCP, Internet and data centres.
Key Skills:
- Be sensitive to risk management and cybersecurity surveillance.
- Knowledge of ITIL v4.
- Ability to work in agile project delivery mode.
- Be able to prioritize development work.
- Be able to collaborate with the company's operations and construction teams.
- Bilingualism.
- CCNP certification an asset.
- Microsoft Office.
