We’re looking for a Senior IT Project Manager (m/f) to join our client in the banking sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 2-3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English. French - beneficial.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 7–10 years of IT project management experience, ideally within financial services or the fund industry
• Proven track record managing complex IT projects in asset management, fund administration, or transfer agency
• In-depth knowledge of fund products (UCITS, AIFs), Luxembourg fund structures, and regulatory requirements
• Experience with portfolio management systems, fund accounting, data warehousing, or reporting platforms
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or Finance
• Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum) is a strong asset
• Solid understanding of IT systems, data integration, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, regulated environment
• Fluent in English; French or German is a plus
• Experience with systems such as SimCorp, Multifonds, eFront, Charles River, or Fundsquare
• Familiarity with data migration, system upgrades, or digitalization initiatives in the fund industry
• Exposure to cloud migration, cybersecurity, or data governance projects.

Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT projects related to fund operations, compliance, reporting, and digital transformation.
• Coordinate across business analysts, developers, infrastructure teams, and external vendors to ensure successful project execution.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring project adherence to standards and governance.
• Monitor and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Ensure compliance with Luxembourg and EU regulatory requirements (CSSF, UCITS, AIFMD, MiFID II, etc.).
• Prepare and present project status reports to senior management and steering committees.
• Drive continuous improvement across project management practices, tools, and methodologies.
• Act as a point of contact between business and IT for all fund-related projects.
