About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Embedded Software Developer to join a highly competent team working with cutting-edge embedded Linux solutions. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the design, development, and verification of secure and reliable embedded systems within a technically demanding environment. The role calls for a proactive, detail-oriented professional with strong collaboration skills and a passion for delivering high-quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for Linux-based systems
  • Work with Board Support Packages (BSPs), device drivers, and low-level hardware integration
  • Develop and execute test automation strategies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and standards in software design
  • Contribute to the creation of documentation, specifications, and design reviews
  • Participate in Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices
  • Engage in code reviews, bug tracking, and performance optimization

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in embedded software development within Linux environments
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Proven hands-on experience with Embedded Linux, Yocto, BSPs, and device driver development
  • Proficient in C, C++, Python, Bash, and shell scripting
  • Strong understanding of networking, security protocols, encryption, and firewall configurations
  • Familiarity with embedded hardware schematics and system-level debugging
  • Practical knowledge of version control systems such as Git, GitLab, or GitHub
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
  • Able to be on-site in Solna approximately 4 days per week

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Experience building and maintaining Continuous Integration systems
  • Familiarity with Robot Framework and SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) handling
  • Understanding of embedded hardware architectures
  • Experience working with SCRUM and agile methodologies
  • Knowledge of regulated development environments, especially within medtech
  • Understanding of industry standards such as IEC 62304 and IEC 81001-5-1
