Product Designer
We are looking for a Product Designer to join our agile design team in a permanent, full-time position. As a part of larger multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for UI and UX design, guidelines, and continuous improvement of best practices related to our current and future gaming products and services.
With us, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the entire Veikkaus portfolio ranging from lottery web site design to electronic instants, casino games and sports betting, including back-office solutions. Your exact role, product team and assignments will be tailored to match your strengths and interests.
Join our growing team of skilled real-money gaming industry design professionals! We are responsible for the entire User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design of the Veikkaus product portfolio. The results of our work are in front of millions of users daily both in Finland and abroad.
Productization and product centric design are key objectives for our group. Our goal is to create and maintain high-quality products that meet player and operator needs and preferences both domestically and abroad. Our team works tightly with Veikkaus’ subsidiary Fennica Gaming to bring our games to international audiences.
Main Responsibilities Include
The position is located at Veikkaus’ headquarters in Pohjois-Haaga, Helsinki. We work flexibly in a hybrid model.

Main Responsibilities Include
- Designing both player facing and back-office user facing UI and UX with a consistent look-and-feel throughout
- Developing wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design ideas and user flows to stakeholders
- Creating intuitive, user-friendly, and visually compelling interfaces that align with the product's vision and business goals
- Validating design choices and measure the effectiveness of design solutions using appropriate methods
- Conducting user research and usability testing to gather feedback and insights to refine the product design
- Analyzing customer feedback, user data, and market trends to identify pain points and opportunities for enhancing the product experience
- A strong portfolio and sufficient experience in product centric design with digital products
- Understanding of agile methodologies and philosophy
- Experience in web-related programming languages to be able to communicate with developers
- Good documentation skills (using corporate standard Microsoft Office tools)
- Natural ability to communicate with users in order to find the best possible user experience
- Interest and ability to conduct different types of user studies (questionnaires, observations, qualitative research etc.)
- Strong knowledge of design systems and applications (we use Figma as our design software)
- Experience in light UI-prototyping and good visualization skills
- A Master's Degree preferably in Human-Computer Interaction or similar
- Good command of English as it is our main documentation language
- Experience from gaming industry or developing digital products in B2C environment
- Particularly pari-mutuel sports betting design experience is valued highly
- Similarly competitive intelligence gathering of pari-mutuel sports betting vendors is appreciated
- B2B back-office UI and UX design experience
- Design experience on multiple platforms, such as web, mobile or embedded systems
- Finnish language is helpful, but not mandatory
