I am seeking a skilled Head of engineering to join my client, a company that build a SaaS based security system.

They are looking for a Head of engineering to oversee a team of 12 engineers, which culminates in 4 frontend developers, 4 backend developers, 2 mobile developers and 2 platform engineers.

You will need to be based in the Malmo region to be considered for this role as they want someone to come to their office on a weekly basis. You will report directly into the CTO and play a vital role in scaling the team to 20+ people over the next 18 months.

This award-winning SaaS business has received series A funding of just over €15 million and are now looking to expand their company and develop their cloud system.

You will be joining a company that currently employs 50 staff members in 2 different locations across the globe. Due to the smaller size of the company, the culture is down to earth and almost has a start-up feel.

The Role

• Define and execute the product roadmap
• Be responsible for architecture and design decisions around microservices, distributed systems and how to scale there SaaS application as they grow
• You will set coding standards, be responsible for driving coding standards and make sure the infrastructure stands up as they scale
• Manage the team performance on a daily basis from a technical and people management perspective

You’ll need:

• 3+ years of management experience managing teams between 10-20
• 10 years’ experience within software engineering
• Still hands on from a technical perspective able to get into the weeds and make architectural / design decisions
• Very competent around cloud based systems
• Experience in Golang will be considered highly advantageous
