For a customer in Antwerp in the Manufacturing sector, I am searching for a bilingual freelance IT Infrastructure Project Manager (English & Dutch) to lead and deliver IT infrastructure projects globally. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing complex IT infrastructure initiatives, leveraging expertise in cloud and on-premises solutions, and ensuring seamless integration across systems. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, guiding them to successful project outcomes while adhering to budgets, timelines, and quality standards.

As an IT Infrastructure Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle—from inception through to execution—ensuring the alignment of IT infrastructure solutions with company and client objectives. Strong leadership and effective communication with multicultural teams are critical.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage IT infrastructure projects across multiple global locations, ensuring alignment with company goals and client requirements, utilizing best practices in project management such as Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
• Organize, coordinate, and lead cross-functional teams, including network engineers, system architects, cloud architects, and cybersecurity specialists.
• Develop and implement strategies for integrating on-premises IT infrastructure with cloud solutions, specifically Azure, AWS, and Hybrid Cloud environments.
• Oversee all aspects of project delivery, ensuring compliance with quality assurance (QA), Security Standards (ISO 27001, NIST), and regulatory compliance.
• Use Project Management tools such as Jira, MS Project, and Confluence to track progress and deliverables.
• Manage project budgets, ensuring cost optimization while adhering to the timeline and scope.
• Ensure network security, data integrity, and disaster recovery strategies are implemented in the project delivery.
• Provide regular status reports, risk assessments, and mitigation strategies to stakeholders.
• Continuously update and refine project plans to accommodate changing business requirements, utilizing change management frameworks.
• Facilitate and ensure proper documentation of all project phases, including architecture designs, infrastructure configurations, and deployment blueprints.

Profile:

• Proficiency in English is essential; Dutch language skills are advantageous.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience managing complex IT infrastructure projects on a global scale, with demonstrated expertise in enterprise-level infrastructure solutions.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components, including on-premises data centers, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud), networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs), and virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Expertise in managing large-scale migrations to the cloud and integrating with on-premises legacy systems.
• Proven experience with ITIL frameworks, network design, and systems architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, collaborating with diverse stakeholders across cultures and geographies.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project risks and issues.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing project requirements and environments, managing scope creep and ensuring client satisfaction.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization, including C-level executives and technical teams.

Additional Information:

• Experience in the Manufacturing sector or similar industries is a plus.
• Certifications such as PMP, Prince2, Azure Solutions Architect, or ITIL are advantageous.
