The challenge

We’re building an agentic AI service that can:

• Index and understand our full library of structured learning content
• Learn the style and structure of expert-built courses
• Assist editors in creating and improving new lessons — with speed, accuracy, and compliance

This system will become the foundation for all future AI-driven features, from automated course generation to personalized student guidance.

What you’ll do

• Design and build agentic workflows using LLMs, RAG, and MCP
• Implement retrieval and indexing pipelines (OpenAI initially, later self-hosted)
• Add guardrails, observability, and monitoring to ensure safe, auditable AI
• Integrate your service into our course authoring tool and core platform pipelines
• Deliver clean APIs and documentation for use by other teams
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering to embed AI deeply in the platform

You’ll own the full lifecycle — from design and prototyping to production deployment and iteration.

What you bring

• 2+ years of experience building LLM, RAG, or agentic systems
• Strong programming skills in Python (bonus: Node.js or TypeScript)
• Familiarity with vector databases or indexing tools (OpenAI, Pinecone, Meilisearch)
• Understanding of retrieval pipelines, embeddings, and prompt orchestration
• Pragmatic, curious, and comfortable translating abstract ideas into working systems
• Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
