We are seeking a UI/UX Architect (Freelance) for a 6-month project in Brussels with our client. As a UI/UX Architect, you will be the driving force behind the initial vision of digital products and services. Your work will define how users and employees interact with complex digital ecosystems, ensuring every touchpoint is purposeful, accessible, and impactful. What You’ll Be Doing

• Translating business value propositions into innovative, user-centric digital concepts across web and mobile platforms
• Developing a comprehensive understanding of the project ecosystem and visualizing abstract ideas for all stakeholders
• Leading ideation sessions and gathering requirements from diverse stakeholders
• Extracting insights from qualitative and quantitative user testing, benchmarking, and data analytics
• Championing the voice of the customer while aligning with business objectives
• Curating information architecture to ensure intuitive usability and seamless navigation
• Drafting high-level, low-fidelity wireframes to bring early concepts to life
• Evaluating proposed solutions against current metrics and KPIs
• Delivering a comprehensive concept report detailing research, testing, and user flows from entry to completion
• Leading the ideation phase and supporting UX/UI designers through refinement and validation

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience ideating both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders
• Comfortable with a range of ideation techniques and adaptable to new methodologies
• Deep familiarity with Agile environments (Scrum, SAFe, Spotify model)
• Mobile-first and accessibility-focused mindset
• Strong analytical and structured thinking, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear narratives
• Holistic, eagle-eye perspective on projects, always mindful of bias and organizational sensitivities
• Exceptional briefing skills, both as a communicator and recipient
• Active, empathic listening and stakeholder management abilities
• Ownership mentality, driving concepts through the entire product lifecycle

Technical Skills

• Expertise in information architecture, wireframing, and concept design
• Experience with user research, data analytics, and usability testing
• Proficiency in digital design tools for wireframing and prototyping (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar)
• Understanding of digital ecosystems spanning web, mobile, and internal employee interfaces

Language Proficiency

• Fluent English (C1-level) in both written and spoken communication
• Good understanding (B1/B2-level) of French or Dutch; ability to speak and write in either language is a strong asset

• Freelance position – 6 months, Brussels-based
