Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in PHP development, preferably within enterprise or large-scale environments.
- Proficiency in PHP and object-oriented programming principles.
- Experience with PHP frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony, or Zend.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, and data management.
- Experience with API development and integration.
- Understanding of security best practices including input validation, password hashing, and protection against CSRF/XSS attacks.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automated testing methodologies.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable enterprise web applications and backend systems using PHP and related technologies.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and fellow developers to gather requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
- Integrate databases efficiently, ensuring optimal data management and retrieval.
- Develop and consume APIs to facilitate system integration and interoperability.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code following industry standards and best practices.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues and bugs promptly to minimize downtime.
- Implement security measures to safeguard applications against common vulnerabilities.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and standards.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies relevant to PHP development and enterprise solutions.
- Competitive hourly rate up to $60/hour or a salary of approximately $110,000, commensurate with experience.
