About The Role
We are seeking a skilled Frontend Developer to join our dynamic technology team. Reporting directly to the Head of Technology Operations, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, cloud-native front-end solutions that address complex challenges faced by the energy industry. Your work will involve creating responsive, high-performance user interfaces that enhance the user experience and facilitate seamless interaction with our platform. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Data Science, Product, and DevOps—to translate design concepts into functional, scalable features. As a mentor to junior developers, you will foster a collaborative team environment, promote best practices, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with modern technologies such as React, NextJS, and TypeScript, and to push the boundaries of what’s possible with cloud, AI, and IoT solutions.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience delivering software features from concept through production support
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript, with experience building large-scale applications
- Extensive experience with React and NextJS, including modern patterns such as hooks, server-side rendering, and performance optimization
- Experience with asynchronous programming and data fetching strategies on the front end
- Familiarity with modern front-end tooling and ecosystems (e.g., React Query, Vite, design tokens)
- Experience working in monorepo environments (e.g., Turbo, Nx, pnpm workspaces) is an asset
- Ability to translate Figma designs into clean, maintainable UI components
- Strong understanding of user experience principles and interactive UI patterns
- Solid knowledge of building scalable and responsive front-end applications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a proactive problem-solving approach
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Develop and maintain front-end components of the cloud-native platform, ensuring responsiveness and high-quality user experiences
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to translate design prototypes into functional features
- Optimize front-end code for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implement UI components based on Figma designs, ensuring consistency and usability
- Contribute to technical documentation, front-end best practices, and knowledge sharing initiatives
- Participate actively in Agile development processes, including stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
- Prototype and experiment with emerging front-end technologies, iterating based on user feedback
- Mentor junior developers and foster a collaborative, positive team environment
- Support continuous improvement of development workflows and code quality standards
