Director, Technology Risk Management

One of our clients has an exciting opportunity for a Director, Technology Risk Management. This is a 6-month daily-rate contract, with a strong possibility of extension.

🔎 Role Overview

You will lead their enterprise-wide technology risk governance framework, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations, internal policies, and strategic business objectives.

Key focus areas include:

• Strategic oversight of technology risk governance forums
• Risk intelligence, reporting, and board-level engagement
• Policy and standards management
• Regulatory alignment (including DORA)
• Strengthening risk culture across the organisation

💼 Key Responsibilities

• Drive development and execution of technology risk governance structures across the enterprise
• Embed the three lines of defence model with clear accountability
• Design, validate, and maintain Risk Appetite Metrics and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs)
• Lead end-to-end board reporting in partnership with ERM (2LOD)
• Ensure global policy and standards alignment across operational resilience, information security, and issue management
• Oversee regulatory compliance activities, including ICT risk management, incident reporting, resilience testing, and third-party oversight
• Engage and educate stakeholders to foster a consistent, enterprise-wide risk culture

👤 About You

You bring:

• Extensive experience in technology risk management, governance, and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience building and embedding enterprise risk frameworks
• Strong exposure to board-level reporting, risk metrics, and governance structures
• Expertise in regulatory alignment (e.g., DORA) and policy management
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence, educate, and drive risk-aware decision-making
