We are looking for a skilled Android Developer experienced in Kotlin and native Android app development to join our growing mobile engineering team in San Diego, CA.
The ideal candidate is passionate about building high-performing applications and delivering an exceptional user experience.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including backend engineers, product managers, and QA, to design, develop, test, and deploy Android apps that meet business and user needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin. Integrate and consume RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints for dynamic data-driven features.
- Develop and maintain unit test automation to ensure code quality and performance.
- Utilize Splunk and Crashlytics for performance monitoring, analytics, and error tracking.
- Collaborate with UX/UI teams to deliver visually appealing and responsive designs.
- Optimize app performance and ensure best practices for scalability and security.
- Participate in peer code reviews and contribute to continuous process improvements.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in Android native app development using Kotlin. Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Jetpack components, and architecture patterns (MVVM/MVP).
- Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.
- Proficiency in unit testing and automation testing tools. Working knowledge of Splunk and Crashlytics for logging and issue management.
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
