Job Description

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role utilizes a hybrid working model, requiring the selected candidate to split their time between remote work and the office located in Helsinki. You will be expected to communicate effectively in either English or Finnish, as the team operates in a bilingual environment. The core of this position involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications to meet specific client requirements. You will work alongside other engineers and product owners to deliver robust code that supports the company's long-term technical strategy.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable code using standard software development practices
• Collaborate with the design and product teams to implement new features and functionality
• Analyze and resolve technical issues and bugs within existing systems
• Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality and consistency
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle from concept to deployment
• Create and maintain technical documentation for reference and reporting

Requirements

• 3+ years of proven experience in software development in a professional setting
• Strong proficiency in modern programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or JavaScript
• Experience working with relational databases and writing efficient SQL queries
• Familiarity with cloud services like AWS or Azure is highly desirable
• Solid understanding of version control systems specifically Git
• Ability to problem-solve independently and manage time effectively
