DevOps Engineer (GCP / Healthcare)

Clarvo is hiring for a client, a healthcare provider dedicated to building secure and reliable telemedicine solutions that facilitate seamless communication between doctors and patients. They are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join the team in a part-time capacity to maintain and improve their Google Cloud Platform infrastructure. Given the nature of the work involving sensitive medical data, the role requires a professional with a strong focus on security, compliance, and system quality. Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize the GCP infrastructure, utilizing services such as Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, VPC, and IAM.
• Ensure strong security practices are implemented across the infrastructure, including access control and data handling.
• Monitor system performance, reliability, and cost efficiency to ensure optimal operation.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
• Support incident response protocols and contribute to ongoing reliability improvements.
• Operate within a compliance-aware mindset adhering to HIPAA and GDPR principles.

Requirements

• Solid experience with Google Cloud Platform and infrastructure-as-code, with a specific preference for Terraform.
• Strong understanding of DevOps principles, automation, and monitoring.
• Experience working with sensitive or regulated data is required, while specific experience in healthcare is a plus.
• Ability to provide high availability with fast response times, ensuring you are reachable when issues arise.
• Ability to work independently in a part-time capacity.
• Familiarity with healthcare or telemedicine systems is preferred.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO-27001.
