The Presales Engineer plays a critical role in supporting the sales team by offering technical expertise and developing tailored solutions that meet customer needs. This role involves understanding customer requirements, designing technical solutions, delivering product demonstrations, and working closely with various internal teams to ensure seamless execution of the sales process. The Presales Engineer must possess both technical depth and the ability to communicate complex concepts to clients clearly, facilitating the alignment of Syntys' offerings with client business objectives.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand customer business requirements and design customized solutions that meet their technical needs, ensuring alignment with Syntys’ products and services.
- Lead and participate in technical presentations, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concept engagements for prospective clients, effectively communicating the value of proposed solutions.
- Provide technical expertise in the preparation of proposals, RFP responses, and technical documentation, ensuring that all customer requirements are addressed and solutions are clearly articulated.
- Work closely with the Head of Presales Engineering, engineering, product, and sales teams to ensure proposed solutions are technically feasible and align with the company’s capabilities and customer needs.
- Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with clients, acting as the technical point of contact and trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
- Monitor industry trends, competitive offerings, and technological advancements to ensure that Syntys is always offering cutting-edge solutions.
- Tailor and adapt Syntys’ solutions to meet specific client requirements, including understanding client environments, challenges, and goals.
- Continuously enhance technical skills and industry knowledge through training, certifications, and active participation in relevant seminars, workshops, and conferences.
- Assist in enabling the sales team by providing technical insights, training, and support, ensuring they are equipped to sell Syntys' offerings effectively.
- Document and report presales activities, customer feedback, and solution outcomes, tracking progress and providing feedback for continuous improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a technical presales, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing role in the tech, IT infrastructure, or data center industry.
- Proven experience in designing and delivering technical solutions tailored to client needs, with a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, data center solutions, AI technologies, and enterprise IT services.
- Experience working within cross-functional teams, collaborating with sales, product, and engineering teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field (Master’s or relevant certifications preferred).
- Certifications: Industry certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP), or similar are a plus.
