About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Android Developer to become an integral part of our client's engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead the development, maintenance, and enhancement of a modern Kotlin-based Android application used across diverse industries and device types. As an Android Developer, you will work closely with talented developers, product specialists, and QA engineers to deliver high-quality features and ensure optimal app performance. The position is based onsite in various locations across Ireland, including Belfast, Dublin, Galway, Mayo, Cork, Kerry, Dungiven, Derry, Londonderry, Donegal, Roscommon, and Limerick, or remotely within Ireland. Qualifications
- Approximately 4 years of industry experience in Android development.
- Proficiency in writing clean, reusable Kotlin code.
- Solid experience with Java, RESTful Web Services, and Android app development.
- Experience with Google Play deployment processes and app release management.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality mobile solutions.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Lead the development, testing, and deployment of the core Android application, ensuring high standards of code quality and performance.
- Implement new features, enhancements, and bug fixes in a Kotlin-based environment.
- Collaborate with product managers, UI/UX designers, and QA teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to best practices, and ensure maintainability of the codebase.
- Manage app release cycles, including preparing builds for Google Play Store deployment.
- Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, optimizing app performance across various devices.
- Stay updated with the latest Android development trends and incorporate innovative solutions into the product.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions tailored to real-world field-service applications.
