We’re looking for a Senior Network Engineer (m/f) to join our client in the governmental sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English.

Qualifications:

• Implement network solutions that align with client requirements and industry best practices.
• Evaluate network architecture and recommend improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and security.
• Configure and deploy network devices, including routers, switches, and access points.
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.
• Perform network capacity planning to anticipate future network growth and recommend network upgrades and enhancements.
• Manage 3rd level of support and collaborate with the operations team to troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and service requests.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as system administrators, software engineers, and project managers to deliver integrated solutions.
• Participate in project planning by providing network design recommendations and estimating resource requirements.
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, sharing knowledge and expertise with the team.

Responsibilities:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNP are highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols and technologies: TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN, Cisco ACI, and QoS.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing network hardware and software.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working effectively with both technical teams and clients.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and adaptability to new technologies.
