Java Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Java Software Engineer (m/f) to join our client in Luxembourg.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 2-3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent English.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• 5-10 years' experience with Java Development (Java EE preferred)
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Web application infrastructure on Linux OS
• Proven experience with JMS middleware, Apache Maven, Git, and Java IDEs
• Exposure to DevOps tooling such as container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and automation platforms is an asset.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end delivery and stability of enterprise web platforms in a Linux environment
• Build, evolve, and integrate backend services with a strong focus on reliability and transactional integrity
• Make independent architectural and implementation decisions and critically assess existing solutions
• Maintain clear, structured documentation covering system design, security, and operational practices
• Collaborate across development and operations to support messaging, deployment, and automation workflows
