Job Description

Operational Role Requirements Comprehensive Understanding of Microsoft EUC Operating Systems and Apple MacOS. Comprehensive Understanding of application deployment and wrapping best-practices on Intune both for Windows and MacOS Understanding of the mobile operating systems such as Android and iOS within an enterprise environment. Understanding of managing Virtual Desktop environments such as Azure Virtual Desktop Proficiency in Scripting Languages like Powershell AND shell scripting for task automation Familiarity with Continuous IntegrationContinuous Deployment (CICD) pipelines (Azure DevOps Github). Familiarity and knowledge with Azure Cloud Platforms Familiarity with tools for automating build, test, and deployment processes using tools like Tools like Gitlab CI/CD Excellent communication skills in Dutch for effective engagement with team members, stakeholders, and end-users. Strong problem-solving abilities to address complex issues promptly Understanding cloud platforms for deploying and managing applications. Knowledge of security principles to ensure data integrity and confidentiality Understanding network protocols, security measures, and troubleshooting skills. Within the role of EUC DevOps Engineer, you are a key team player within the End User Compute team. You are a technical expert within this domain with which you drive innovation and efficiency to converge and revolutionize end-user computing (EUC) practices within a major Dutch retail organization. This role integrates the best of EUC with DevOps principles, focusing on automation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Primary ResponsibilitiesYou will be working as part of the EUC Team. Within this team you are the technical expert to manage and develop the Intune based delivery of the Modern Workspace and (future) mobile devices. You will develop and maintain solutions that will enable our associates to do there work effectively and securely while maintaining and Excellent User Experience.You enable flexibility and agility on the Workspace while improving operational governance.You will be a key player in the upcoming transition of the legacy managed workspaces to the modern, cloud managed workspaces that will be executed in 2025.You are a team player with excellent communication skills. Collaboration within EUC TeamYou are a team player who Works closely within the EUC team on activities defined within the sprints. Identifies opportunities and possible pitfalls and address these in a timely manner to the EUC product owner and team. Fosters a collaborative environment to ensure alignment and synergy between EUC, Cloud and DevOps practices. Ensures seamless communication and coordination to meet evolving end-user needs. Managing and Providing Support Offer support during high-priority incidents to ensure swift resolution and minimal downtime. Utilize EUC contextual knowledge to provide effective solutions and support. Integration of DevOps Practices Implement continuous integration, continuous delivery, and automated testing into EUC environments. Streamline processes for faster deployment of updates and improvements.Preferred Skills Ability to rapidly learn new skills and technologies adaptability to changing technologies. Hybrid Working Model with blend of remote work and physical presence at the AHOLD headquarters in Zaandam (5050).Technical Tools and Platforms Microsoft Intune and MECM Manage end-user devices efficiently through centralized control. Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop Provide virtualized desktop experiences for secure remote access. Application Packaging and Testing Bundle applications for simplified deployment ensure reliability through testing. Developing Real-Time Performance Dashboards Monitor key performance metrics in real-time for proactive issue identification. Continuous Development of Features and Functionalities Iteratively enhance features to promote agility and responsiveness to user needs. Coordinating Service Calls with Microsoft Liaise with Microsoft for technical support and issue resolution.
