We have a new long-term contract opportunity for an Intermediate Project Manager with our Professional Services Team.

The Role

• Manage, lead and influence technical project teams, vendors and partners to deliver effective project outcomes whilst managing risk, issues, and quality of the deliverables. Understand and manage the delivery of the defined scope within commercial frameworks of the SOW in line with LAB3 products and roadmaps. Raise variations internally or with the client when required to ensure profitability, timeliness, and quality of the delivered outcomes.
• Identify, establish, build, and maintain relationships (through regular communication) with key client stakeholders to understand and manage their drivers and issues.
• Work with and influence stakeholders to achieve satisfactory client and project outcome. Identify opportunities, work collaboratively, and manage your projects to deliver client strategic outcomes.
• Initiate, facilitate and lead client workshops that support the definition of non-functional and function requirements with a consultancy led approach.
• Prepare, maintain, and track progress of project schedules, reports, resource forecasts, RAID logs, minutes, project documentation and project finances in line with governance objectives to a high standard and in a timely fashion.
• Support the development, estimation and review of SOWs and solutions for internal and client projects.
• Establish and follow the project rhythm of regular meetings, stand-ups, project status reports, meeting minutes, governance meetings and steering committees,
• Provide clear, concise, and timely updates to progress and escalations when required.
• Identify, interpret, and communicate meaningful insights, conclusions, cost estimations, presentations, and report to LAB3 clients, as necessary.
• Support the internal uplift of our LAB3 Project Delivery capability. Drive enhancement of our team frameworks, practice structure, governance, reporting, processes, and procedures.
• Deliver projects within the LAB3 delivery framework and the appropriate use of applied Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, Kanban & DevOps methodologies primarily across IT projects and business projects as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• You are a Junior/Intermediate-level Project Manager with experience managing and/or coordinating technology projects for clients.
• Vendor/ Consultancy background: You understand the challenges of delivering to a client and can be flexible with changing priorities.
• Understanding of the Microsoft technology stack including Azure, Modernisation and AI is highly beneficial!
• Clear communication and exceptional organisational skills are essential.
• You are Sydney-based and available to be onsite with the client when required.
