Lead Software Engineer

Lead Software Developer | PHP/React/AWS | Up to $190,000 + Super

We are working closely with a hospitality startup who are looking to grow extensively over the next few years.

They want to hire a Senior Laravel/React Developer with a lot of AWS infrastructure exposure to build the foundations of a Dev Team.

A roadmap is in place to allow them to scale up through the industry and take over!

Requirements:

• Proficient in PHP, both using Laravel and in custom codebases without frameworks

• Skilled in HTML, CSS, jQuery, and React

• Familiar with Next.js, used in parts of our dashboard and website

• Strong design sensibility, including UI/UX best practices and interactive/animated states

• Hands-on experience with payment gateways and secure transaction flows

• Familiarity with implementing fraud prevention and best practices for sensitive data

• Deep understanding of scalable backend systems and robust infrastructure

• Experience with AWS services like EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, etc.

• Comfortable using AI tools to speed up development workflows

Responsibilities:

• Used daily by hundreds of hospitality businesses to manage their operations

• Build and optimize backend APIs with a focus on speed, stability, and scalability

• Powering customer-facing websites with customizable, reliable templates

• Work closely with the support team to identify, debug, and fix user-reported problems

• Improve code reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability

• Create tools and features that reduce manual work and speed up customer setup

Salary

They offer an excellent salary of up to $190,000 + Super.

Remote, Office in Sydney
