About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Senior .NET Developer (Freelance) for an 11-month project with our client in Antwerp, Belgium. This is a high-impact opportunity to architect and deliver a next-generation, secure, and scalable web application in the healthcare domain. You’ll be at the forefront of integrating GenAI, eHealth, and FHIR microservices, shaping digital transformation in a mission-critical environment.

As a Senior .NET Developer, you will drive the technical vision, ensuring robust architecture, seamless integrations, and secure deployments. What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing technical architecture based on functional application analysis in close collaboration with ICT teams
• Setting up architecture following MVC principles with a Blazor front-end and .NET back-end
• Developing scalable and secure web applications based on solution design
• Integrating FHIR services for advanced healthcare data exchange
• Implementing eHealth services, including IAM and intrahub querying
• Applying GenAI services (Azure OpenAI or equivalent) for intelligent data processing
• Coordinating with infrastructure, client, and security teams for deployment and security best practices
• Establishing CI/CD pipelines and maintaining comprehensive documentation
• Collaborating and supporting other ICT colleagues to ensure project success
• Leading and coaching development teams, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation

Technical Skills & Experience

• Minimum 10 years of demonstrable experience in software development
• At least 5 years of hands-on experience developing .NET-based applications
• Proven expertise with .NET (C#), ASP.NET, and Blazor
• Strong experience with SQL databases and relational data models
• Demonstrable experience leading development teams and coaching developers
• Fluency in coding, testing, and debugging complex programming assignments
• Deep knowledge and experience with Agile development methodologies, including taking a leadership role
• Experience integrating GenAI services via MS Azure
• Experience with HL7 and FHIR via microservices is a strong plus
• Experience with eHealth IAM and intrahub services is a strong plus
• Knowledge of RAG and prompt engineering is a plus
• Experience with MS Azure Health Data Services is a nice to have
• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent through experience

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR – level C2 is required

Other Requirements

• Freelance position – 11-month contract
• Location: Antwerp, Belgium (3 days on-site, 2 days remote per week)
• Full-time engagement (100%)
• Project delivered under a framework contract (2022–2027)
• Candidate selection based on 50% quality, 50% price
