About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Fullstack .NET Developer (Freelance) to join our client’s dynamic IT department in Brussels for a 7-month project. You’ll be embedded in a multidisciplinary, bilingual (French/Dutch) agile team, driving the design, development, and evolution of critical .NET applications. Your work will directly impact the quality, performance, and future-readiness of essential business systems.

As a Fullstack .NET Developer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering robust, scalable solutions that empower business growth and operational excellence. Your expertise will help solve complex technical challenges, ensure seamless delivery of new features, and elevate the standard of software quality across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining .NET applications using C# and .NET Core
• Translating functional analyses into technical solutions and validating technical specifications with business analysts
• Analyzing and resolving second-level technical issues, providing expert support to colleagues
• Driving continuous improvement in development processes and software quality by staying ahead of technology trends
• Implementing automation and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps to ensure stable development, testing, and production environments
• Collaborating closely within a SAFe agile team, including developers, testers, business analysts, product owners, and scrum masters
• Contributing to and reviewing technical documentation, sharing knowledge with junior developers and the wider team

Technical Skills

• Confirmed expertise in .NET Framework and C#
• Experience with .NET Core
• Junior-level experience with Azure Cloud and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines
• Familiarity with Blazor, gRPC, MS SQL, and NServiceBus or similar messaging patterns
• Understanding of Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments (minimum 3 years)

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in either French or Dutch
• Understanding of English

Other Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a .NET Developer
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies
• Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Collaboration-focused, socially skilled, and customer-oriented
• Proactive, autonomous, and responsible approach to work
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and unexpected challenges
• Hybrid work model: minimum 2 days onsite in Brussels, up to 3 days remote per week
