Software Test Engineer – High-Tech Systems
The Position
As part of our expanding team, we are looking for a Software Engineer with a passion for complex systems and cutting-edge technology. You will work on high-impact projects.
The role :
As a Software Test Engineer, your main responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain simulation tools and models for optical and electronic systems using MATLAB/Simulink and related environments.
- Design and implement algorithms for system-level modeling, signal processing, and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with optical, electrical, and mechanical engineers to translate physical system requirements into software models.
- Analyze simulation results and propose design improvements based on physical and mathematical principles.
- Support experimental validation through data analysis, test automation, and prototype evaluation.
- Contribute to software documentation, version control, and continuous integration workflows.
- Stay current with emerging technologies in optics, semiconductor physics, and simulation methodologies.
Your Profile
- Bachelor's, Master’s or Ph.D. in Physics, Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
- Proven experience with MATLAB/Simulink for system modelling and simulation.
- Knowledge in optics, photonic systems, or semiconductor device physics.
- Proficiency in object-oriented programming (Python, C++, or similar).
- Experience with data analysis, numerical methods, and algorithm development.
- Knowledge of version control systems (Git) and collaborative software development practices.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken); Dutch is a plus.
