Role Overview:

Informatech is supporting a large consultancy working with a federal government client to deliver secure and scalable cloud-native applications across complex enterprise environments. We are seeking experienced Software Developers (Node.JS / TypeScript) to design, build, and support modern API-driven and microservices-based solutions in a highly secure AWS environment.

In this role, you will work closely with architects, cloud engineers, and stakeholders to deliver clean, testable, and maintainable code while contributing to cloud-native solution design and uplift of internal development capability.

We are ideally seeking a permanent engagement, with a competitive salary on offer for the right candidate. However, candidates seeking a contracting engagement will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Node.js-based microservices and APIs using TypeScript.
• Build and deploy cloud-native applications within AWS environments.
• Apply Test Driven Development (TDD) and clean code practices across the software lifecycle.
• Develop and execute unit tests using frameworks such as Mocha and Chai.
• Build and manage containerised applications to support scalable deployments.
• Integrate APIs and services using platforms such as Google Apigee.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and maintainable solutions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development standards, tooling, and practices.
• Support lifecycle management, monitoring, and operational stability of applications.

To Be Successful, You Will Have Extensive Experience In:

• TypeScript and Node.js development (TypeScript strongly preferred).
• Designing and building API-driven and microservices-based applications using frameworks such as Express, Koa, or Hapi.
• Test Driven Development (TDD) and modern unit testing frameworks (Mocha / Chai).
• Developing containerised applications and cloud-native solutions.
• AWS services, including: AWS ECS, AWS ECR, AWS S3, AWS CloudWatch. AWS Kinesis Firehose, AWS IAM, AWS SQS, AWS Lambda
• API development and integration using Google Apigee.
• Building and supporting scalable applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
