Frontend Engineer Intern

Employment type: Internship (Part-time or Full-time), fixed-term (3–6 months)

Attimo is building Panovia: a cognitively ergonomic document intelligence platform that helps teams ingest project files, extract structured metadata, and retrieve information through search and chat with clear source references.

We focus on clarity, reliability, and interfaces that reduce cognitive load.

We are hiring one (1) Frontend Engineer Intern to help deliver core product experiences in a Next.js web application. You will work closely with product and engineering to implement user-facing flows such as document upload, search/chat UI, and document viewing.

• Build and maintain UI features using Next.js (App Router), React, and TypeScript
• Implement end-to-end user flows with clear loading / empty / error states
• Integrate frontend features with backend APIs (REST and/or Server Actions)
• Develop reusable components and patterns aligned with a consistent UI system
• Improve performance and UX polish (rendering, responsiveness, interaction clarity)
• Contribute through PRs, code reviews, and lightweight written specs

• Next.js experience (App Router preferred), including routing/layouts and data fetching patterns
• Strong React fundamentals (hooks, component composition) and practical UI implementation skills
• Solid TypeScript usage (typed props, typed API calls, avoiding “any everywhere”)
• Familiarity with state management (Zustand preferred; Redux/Jotai/Context acceptable)
• Tailwind CSS (or equivalent utility-first approach) and responsive UI development
• API integration experience (fetching data, handling success/error states, optimistic updates where appropriate)
• Comfort with Git and a collaborative workflow (branches, PRs)

• Experience with testing (Playwright/Cypress/Jest)
• Experience building document-heavy products (viewers, metadata panels, search results UX)
• Accessibility awareness (semantic HTML, keyboard navigation, ARIA basics)
• Performance profiling and tuning in React

• Real product scope and shipped work
• Mentorship from a small team with direct feedback loops
• Exposure to building AI-adjacent product surfaces (search, retrieval UX, explainability via sources)
