We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Firmware Developer who is ready to grow into one of our Firmware Architects. This role is ideal for an experienced embedded software engineer who wants to take the next step toward architectural-level decision-making while remaining hands-on in development. As a Senior FW Developer, you will work with Energy Storage, Solar inverter, EV charger control systems, including EMS and BMS controllers, IoT modules. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, shape core firmware platforms, and influence system architecture across multiple product lines. This position is technical, challenging, and offers a clear path toward becoming one of the key firmware architects within the company.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

·      Develop and maintain high-quality firmware for microcontrollers and embedded Linux devices

·      Participate in the full development lifecycle — requirements, design, implementation, testing, and validation.

·      Participate in system-level design discussions about our products, system architecture creation and new product FW architecture development.

·      Contribute to firmware platform architecture and long-term technical strategy.

·      Work closely with product managers, software and electronics engineers to ensure seamless hardware, firmware, and software integration across all our devices and platforms.

·      Review code, enforce architecture and quality guidelines, and mentor mid/junior developers

·      Support integration with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or similar)

·      Drive continuous improvement of tools, testing environments, and CI/CD pipelines

·      Prepare to transition into a firmware architect role — defining standards, frameworks, and FW roadmaps.

·      Collaborate and moderate a developer team's events: daily meetings, retrospectives, planning meetings.

What We Are Looking For

·      5+ years of experience in embedded firmware development, has an analytical mindset and the ability to solve complex system-level problems.

·      Strong knowledge of C/C++ (Python for scripting/automation is a plus).

·      Experience with ARM Cortex-M, STM32, ESP32, or similar MCU families.

·      Understanding of Embedded Linux and SoC-based systems.

·      Experience with FreeRTOS, or other RTOS environments.

·      Excellent understanding of electronics fundamentals and ability to read schematics.

·      Practical experience with communication protocols (CAN, RS485, Modbus, MQTT, TLS/SSL).

·      Design reusable FW modules, libraries, and internal APIs.

·      Perform in-depth debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and low-level tracing tools.

·      Has experience in structured development (Agile/Scrum), version control (Git), modern development workflows and management tools (Jira or similar).

·      Ownership mindset and willingness to take responsibility for architectural decisions

Highly Valued Experience

·      Work experience in Embedded Linux environments.

·      Work experience with energy storage systems, BMS, or inverter technologies.

·      Familiarity with cybersecurity standards for connected energy devices.

·      Knowledge of BMS, EMS, SCADA, PLC, or heat-pump control systems.

·      Experience designing modular firmware architectures or platform layers.

·      Has experience with communication protocols and cloud-based product controls.
