We are seeking an experienced Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing technology team building scalable, cloud-native digital platforms. This role focusses on designing and delivering modern frontend experiences alongside robust backend services deployed in Microsoft Azure, leveraging event-driven architectures and enterprise data platforms.You will collaborate closely with architects, product managers, and fellow engineers to deliver secure, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions. This role also includes mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical standards and architectural direction.

Your new role

Frontend (React)

• Design and develop modern, responsive user interfaces using React and TypeScript
• Build reusable UI components aligned with established design systems
• Optimise performance, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Partner with UX/design and backend teams to deliver seamless user experiences
• Promote frontend best practices and maintain high standards of code quality

Backend (Java / Spring Boot)

• Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop secure, scalable microservices with clearly defined API contracts
• Implement best practices for validation, exception handling, logging, and observability
• Write high-quality unit, integration, and contract tests
• Contribute to code reviews and continuous improvement of engineering standards

Cloud, Eventing & Data

• Develop, deploy, and support services in Microsoft Azure
• Integrate event-driven solutions using technologies such as Event Hubs and/or Kafka
• Collaborate with data engineering teams on integrations involving modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
• Contribute to architectural decisions related to scalability, resiliency, security, and cost optimisation
• Support CI/CD and DevOps best practices

What you'll need to succeed

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Proven experience delivering production-grade React and Spring Boot applications
• Strong understanding of software design principles, patterns, and clean architecture
• Experience building and operating cloud-native applications in Azure
• Familiarity with event-driven architectures and distributed systems
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams
