Data & Analytics Translator

We are looking for a “Data & Analytics Translator” to support our Data Analytics team.

What will be expected of you in this role?

Project Management

• Project team lead /member for selected data analytics use-cases
• Responsible in the team to make sure that business needs are properly translated into data analytics solutions
• Acting as a problem solver, making sure that projects run properly
• Creating stakeholder maps, in and out of the project, and actively managing the stakeholders for the sake of the project

Strategy Setting

• Supporting data analytics director in strategy setting
• Show deep understanding of the business units’ needs and translate these into the potential data analytics projects
• Follow developments in data analytics environment and bring new ideas outside in

People Leadership

• Be a data analytics ambassador as a member of data analytics center of excellence team
• Develop people in data analytics through projects, talks and training

Are not expected to do

1. Use data analytics tools by yourself, we have data science colleagues for that purpose. However, willingness to develop yourself in that direction is more than welcomed
2. Run the regular, repetitive tasks of a completed project. You will be here to bring new ideas

Skills required:

• Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university, Management, Industrial engineering, Management Information Systems (MIS), Statistics degrees are a plus
• Excellent business and stakeholder engagement skills, positive mentality, we can do it attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to understand complex business problems and translate them into data analytics use-cases
• Strong understanding in both predictive and descriptive data analytics methodologies as well as tools
• Excellent facilitation skills, able to bring together stakeholders with diverse agendas, gain alignment and drive change
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical approach & drive technical discussions
• Experience in strategy, transformation projects and project management are strong plus
• 5+ years’ experience in data analytics and/or related business areas that heavily utilize data analytics
• Good command of both written and spoken English is a plus
• Passion for self-development; ability to follow developments in data analytics and willingness to learn
