Job Title: Network Engineer (Palo Alto Specialist)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with 3+ years of hands-on experience, including strong expertise in Palo Alto firewalls, to support and maintain secure enterprise network environments across our London operations.

The role focuses on network security, firewall configuration, performance optimisation, and ensuring high availability of critical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and maintain Palo Alto firewalls
• Implement and monitor network security policies and rules
• Troubleshoot firewall, VPN, and connectivity issues
• Support LAN, WAN, and wireless network infrastructure
• Perform firewall upgrades, patching, and security updates
• Conduct log analysis and support security incident investigations
• Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams on network architecture
• Maintain network diagrams and documentation
• Participate in change management and incident resolution processes

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering or network support roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS)
• Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs)
• Experience configuring VPNs, NAT, routing, and security policies
• Knowledge of firewall rule management and security best practices
• Experience with routers and switches (Cisco or equivalent)
• Familiarity with network monitoring and logging tools
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
• Good communication and teamwork abilities

Preferred (Not Mandatory)

• Palo Alto certifications (PCNSA or PCNSE)
• Experience with cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
• Exposure to SD-WAN or network segmentation strategies
• Experience in enterprise or regulated environments
• Basic scripting or automation knowledge
