Hi! I’m Shweta Malhotra, Talent Partner here at LeadDesk. Together with our PCS Manager Sami Pesonen , we’re strengthening our Operations team in Lappeenranta.

We’re hiring a Junior Developer to join our growing team.

What you can expect as a Junior Developer at LeadDesk

You'll be developing new features smoothly using ReactJS, Redux, Saga, node.js, Python.
You'll be maintaining and improving our existing product 
You'll be writing clean, high-quality code 
You'll be ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience (UX) 
You'll be contributing to happy, satisfied clients

What success looks like in this role

Gain overview of LeadDesk’s products, users, tech stack, and development workflows. 
Familiarize yourself with the existing architecture 
Build strong relationships with your team 
Contribute to improving the codebase by addressing bugs, refining existing code, and adopting best practices. 
Begin establishing efficient collaboration workflows between development, design, and product teams. 
Deliver your first product features, improving a critical user workflow or interface.

First 6 months 

Collaborate with designers to implement accessible and responsive UI and extending scope of work to backend
Actively contribute to sprint planning and code reviews to ensure high-quality and scalable code.  
Take ownership of a key area of your team’s domain and drive consistency and performance improvements.

Must-haves

1–3 years of relevant work experience, or a recent graduate / final-year student (thesis phase) in a related field.
Frontend: React/Angular
Backend: PHP or Node JS and Databases
Fluency in English at professional level
Good teamworking skills

Practicalities

Your location: Lappeenranta
Work permit in Finland  is required for non-EU citizens
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work model: Hybrid  (3 times a week to foster collaboration and effective teamwork)
Working hours: Flexible 
Employment: Full-time and permanent
