Job Purpose:


Project and facilities Engineering advisor will be responsible for providing technical support for various internal processes including but not limited to project technical assurance review including cost and schedule, production and cost reviews, annual budget, 5years business program, opportunities assessment, new business development and M&A activities.


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:


  • Technical Assurance: Ensure the technical integrity and compliance of all facilities projects with industry standards, regulations, and company-specific requirements.
  • Cost Estimation: Develop, review, and validate cost estimates for all facilities projects, including capital expenditures, operating expenses, and life cycle costs.
  • Budgeting and Scheduling Verification: Oversee the verification of project budgets and schedules, ensuring alignment with approved business plans and 5-year plans.
  • Project Management: on ad-hoc basis, track the execution of facilities projects by the operators, from conceptual design through to commissioning, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget, providing support for improvement whenever required.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess technical risks associated with facilities projects to the company and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions and delays.
  • Business Plan Review: Actively participate in the review and analysis of operator’s business plans to ensure that facilities projects align with corporate strategies, objectives, and financial targets, cost is reasonable and optimized
  • Sustainability and Environmental Compliance: Ensure sustainability and environmental considerations into all technical aspects of the projects under review, aligning with global environmental and corporate responsibility goals
  • Technical Audits: Participate in technical audits and inspections of existing facilities to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.
  • New Business Development: if needed, Participate in due diligence processes for new business development activities, assessing the technical aspects of the opportunities, providing support to high quality decision making.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments, including engineering, procurement, construction, and operations, to ensure the seamless integration of facilities projects into the overall operations and maintenance framework.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation and prepare regular reports for senior management, summarizing the status, progress, and performance of facilities projects.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated with relevant industry regulations and standards, ensuring that facilities projects adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement in project management processes, cost estimation methodologies, and technical standards, and implement best practices to enhance overall project efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Environmental and Safety Compliance: Ensure that all facilities projects adhere to environmental regulations and safety protocols, minimizing environmental impact and maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure quality control processes are in place for facility projects and if needed, conduct regular inspections to ensure that project deliverables meet the required quality standards.
  • Technology Integration: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in the oil and gas industry and assess their applicability to enhance facilities projects. Advise the operator of any applicability of technologies to the reviewed projects to improve efficiency, reduce cost or increase production.
  • Supply Chain: Advise corporate supply chain on major contract evaluation related to facilities projects and other related subjects.


Job Specification:


  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Master’s degree in project / facility field preferred.
  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in project management and facilities engineering within the Oil & Gas industry.
