Job Title: DevOps Engineer
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive DevOps Engineer to join our growing technology team. In this role, you will be responsible for improving development and deployment processes by building and maintaining reliable infrastructure, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with development, cloud, and security teams to ensure our systems are scalable, secure, and highly available. This is a fully remote position open to candidates located within Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure using platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and reliability across environments.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment workflows and system efficiency.
- Implement and maintain containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and environment-related issues.
- Maintain system security, access control, and compliance standards.
- Document infrastructure architecture, processes, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or a related role.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
