Job Title: Cyber Security Analyst

Job Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security threats while helping protect the organization’s systems, networks, and data. You will work closely with IT and engineering teams to strengthen security measures, investigate incidents, and ensure compliance with security standards. This is a remote position open to candidates located within Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor security systems and tools to detect and respond to potential threats or vulnerabilities.
• Investigate security alerts, incidents, and suspicious activities, and provide timely resolution.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments and support remediation efforts.
• Implement and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Collaborate with IT and engineering teams to improve system security and reduce risks.
• Analyze security logs and generate reports on security incidents and trends.
• Support compliance with security frameworks and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in security awareness initiatives and recommend improvements to overall security posture.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in cyber security, information security, or a similar role.
• Knowledge of network security concepts, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and security monitoring tools.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards.
• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools and incident response processes.
• Basic knowledge of operating systems, networking, and cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
