Role Overview:

As a Machine Learning Engineer at OptiComm.AI, you’ll help build the intelligence layer behind our platform. You’ll work on real machine learning systems that power prediction, anomaly detection, prioritization, and decision support across commercial and operational use cases.

This role is ideal for someone early in their journey, but with strong fundamentals, high curiosity, and the ambition to grow fast while working on meaningful real-world problems.

You won’t just build models in isolation. You’ll help turn complex, messy data into systems that generate foresight, improve decisions, and drive action at scale.

What you'll work on:

• Build and improve machine learning / deep learning models for prediction, anomaly detection, prioritization, and decision support
• Explore and engineer features from complex internal and external datasets
• Run experiments, evaluate model performance, and iterate quickly
• Work closely with engineering, product, and business teams to bring models into production
• Contribute to training pipelines, evaluation frameworks, and ML workflows
• Help integrate new signals and data sources that improve predictive power
• Stay close to emerging ML and AI methods, and contribute ideas to the evolution of the platform
• Translate real business problems into practical, scalable ML systems

What we're looking for:

• Solid understanding of ML fundamentals, including training, evaluation, feature engineering, overfitting, and validation
• Hands-on experience building models through work, internships, research, competitions, or personal projects
• Strong problem-solving ability and comfort working with imperfect data
• Curiosity, ownership, and a builder mindset
• Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate
• 1+ year of experience in machine learning, applied AI, data science, or a related technical role
• Strong Python skills and familiarity with tools such as PyTorch, scikit-learn, pandas, or similar
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with cloud environments such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Experience with SQL, APIs, data pipelines, or MLOps workflows
• Interest in commerce, retail, logistics, or operational use cases
• Curiosity about agentic systems, decision intelligence, and real-world AI applications
