🌟 The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead to play a key role in shaping and scaling a new engineering squad dedicated to mobile innovation. Reporting into senior engineering leadership, you’ll guide a small, high‑impact team of Software Engineers while driving modernisation, delivery excellence, and high‑quality engineering standards.
You’ll work in a collaborative hybrid environment alongside Product Managers, QAs, Scrum Masters, and fellow engineering leaders, all focused on building secure, reliable, and intuitive mobile experiences.
💡 What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of Software Engineers (1:1s, coaching, development plans)
- Drive engineering excellence across mobile, backend, and platform components
- Champion quality security, testing strategies, release processes, performance
- Guide the delivery of new mobile features and ensure sprint outcomes are met
- Partner with architects to design scalable, enterprise‑grade services
- Recruit and onboard great engineering talent, including early‑career roles
- Collaborate with other Tech Leads on planning, estimation, and technical strategy
- Promote strong engineering culture and an exceptional developer experience
🛠️ What You’ll Bring
Technical Expertise
- Strong background building services using React, Java, and C#
- Deep mobile development experience across iOS & Android
- Kotlin / Java
- Swift / Objective‑C
- React Native
- Solid understanding of design patterns (e.g., hexagonal architecture)
- Experience working with REST APIs, modern integrations, and microservices
- Knowledge of NoSQL & relational databases, caching, messaging queues
- Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud‑native deployment
- Strong focus on testing, quality, CI/CD, A/B testing, observability, and performance
- Enthusiasm for modern engineering practices and continuous learning
Leadership Experience
- Proven history leading and developing engineering teams
- Skilled at coaching, performance management, and creating high‑performing, growth‑oriented cultures
