Job Overview
We are looking for a Senior Tools Developer to join the tools development team. In this role, you will be the bridge between the engine code and the content creators. You will develop the Game Editor and the pipeline tools that Artists and Designers use every day.
What will you do?
- Design, implement, and support the Game Editor and external development tools using C++ and Qt.
- Collaborate closely with Technical Artists and Artists to analyze their workflows and improve their efficiency.
- Integrate engine systems into the Editor environment.
- Refactor and modernize existing legacy tools to improve stability and UX.
- Create technical documentation and user guides for the tools you build.
What are we looking for?
- Strong technical background with 3+ years of experience in commercial C++ development.
- Deep knowledge of the Qt Framework (Widgets, Model/View architecture, QML).
- Experience in developing complex desktop applications with rich user interfaces (Game Editors, DCC tools, CAD software).
- Understanding of OOP, algorithms, and data structures.
- Knowledge of basic linear algebra (matrix, vector).
- Experience in multithreaded programming.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and decoupled code.
What additional skills will help you stand out?
- Experience with Python (embedding Python in C++ applications or writing pipeline scripts).
- Experience with Entity Component System.
- Experience with industry-standard editors (Unreal Engine 4/5, Unity, Godot).
- Experience with UI/UX design principles.
- Experience with released titles or shipping commercial software tools.
Work mode
- Hybrid (2-3 days of work from the office).
The salary range for this role in Vilnius is EUR 4,400–6,590 monthly gross.
