We’re seeking an experienced PMO Managerto oversee a complex portfolio in a highly regulated environment.
This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring projects progress on time, risks are managed, and outcomes are delivered efficiently and to the highest standards.
You will take ownership of the PMO, uplift governance practices, and provide strategic guidance to the portfolio leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the PMO for a complex program portfolio, ensuring projects and programs are delivered successfully and aligned with strategic objectives
- Provide leadership to the portfolio leadership team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance
- Maintain oversight of funding approvals, financial reporting, and resource allocation
- Ensure robust governance, audit readiness, and compliance with organisational and regulatory standards
- Monitor and report on program and project progress, risks, and issues
- Implement and improve PMO processes, templates, and methodologies to support consistent delivery
- Act as the primary interface between executive stakeholders, program leadership, and delivery teams
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in program or portfolio management within complex, multi-project environments
- Strong understanding of governance, funding approvals, and audit processes in highly regulated environments
- Experience leading and developing leadership teams within a PMO environment
- Demonstrated ability to implement PMO practices and embed delivery discipline across a portfolio
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills
- Hands-on, delivery-focused approach with the ability to solve problems and drive results
