Analyst — Digital Assets & Alternative Markets

About the Role

We are a start-up proprietary trading firm building a high-performance research and analytics team in Bangalore. We are looking for a sharp, detail-oriented Analyst to join our Digital Assets and Alternative Markets desk.

In this role, you will monitor global electronic markets in real time, perform technical and fundamental analysis, and deliver actionable trading insights to our desk. You will work across asset classes that operate 24/7, following a structured shift roster. This is a high-visibility role with a direct path to international relocation (Singapore or Dubai) after 12 months based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor global electronic and alternative asset markets in real time across multiple exchanges; deliver timely technical insights to the trading desk.
• Analyse price action, candlestick patterns, support & resistance levels, volume profiles, and key indicators (RSI, MACD, Bollinger Bands, Moving Averages, VWAP).
•  Identify high-probability trade setups with clearly defined entry/exit levels, stop-loss zones, and risk-reward ratios.
• Track derivatives metrics including funding rates, open interest, order book depth, and market sentiment indicators.
•  Prepare daily and weekly market reports, technical outlooks, and briefing notes for senior traders and portfolio managers.
•  Integrate fundamental research (macro-economic events, regulatory developments, protocol-level analysis, tokenomics) into technical views.
• Coordinate with the trading desk and risk management team to ensure strategy alignment and execution discipline.
•  Monitor new asset listings, exchange updates, regulatory shifts, and global macro events that impact pricing.
• Operate within a 24/7 market structure through structured rotational shifts (including nights, weekends, and public holidays).
• Contribute to building and improving internal research frameworks, dashboards, and alert systems.

Requirements — Must Have

• 1–3 years of experience in Forex, Commodities, Equities, or Derivatives trading/analysis (mandatory).
• Strong command of technical analysis tools and charting platforms (TradingView, MT4/MT5, or equivalent).
• Proficiency in Python, Excel/Google Sheets for data analysis; familiarity with trading automation tools or APIs is a plus.
•  Foundational understanding of digital asset markets, decentralised finance (DeFi) concepts, and blockchain fundamentals.
• Proven ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, time-sensitive environments with disciplined execution.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts in a 24/7 operations environment.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and risk management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for market commentary and reporting.

Requirements — Good to Have

• Hands-on experience in digital asset derivatives, perpetual futures, or options markets.
• Familiarity with on-chain analytics, sentiment analysis tools (Glassnode, Dune, Nansen, Santiment).
• Professional certifications: CFTe, CMT, CFA (Level 1+), or blockchain/distributed ledger certifications.
• Experience with quantitative models, algorithmic signal generation, or systematic trading strategies.
• Exposure to order management systems (OMS) or execution management systems (EMS).

International Relocation Path
