Due to the expansion of our website’s functionality, we are inviting candidates to apply for the position of Backend or Full Stack Developer (with a focus on the backend). We operate in the legal tech and partial travel industry, offering assistance in obtaining compensation for flight cancellations or delays. Our work spans markets in Europe and North America, which is why English proficiency is essential for reading documentation, APIs, and libraries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend systems using Laravel 8 and PHP 8.2.
- Build and optimise RESTful APIs to support various integrations.
- Work with databases, including MySQL 8, ensuring performance and scalability.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure high-quality code and functionality.
- Debug and optimize existing code for performance improvements.
Requirements:
- More than 6 years of experience with PHP (Laravel experience is mandatory).
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Familiarity with external API integrations.
- Basic knowledge of Docker.
- Experience working with MySQL 8.
- More than 2 years of experience working with highly loaded databases.
- Experience with parsing, partitioning and sharding.
- Proficiency in English for technical documentation and API/library use.
- Experience working with Elastic Search, Redis, and RabbitMQ.
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have):
- Familiarity with Memcache and jQuery.
- Full-stack development skills.
- BigQuery.
