FUNCTION
The Human Resource Manager (freelance) will be part of the Finance Department.
The role combines end-to-end ownership of HR projects driven by upcoming legislation (2026–2027) with overall coordination and structuring of hard HR activities, ensuring clear prioritization, consistency and compliance across the HR function.
The Human Resources Manager will provide direction on HR priorities and ensure that HR activities are aligned with business needs, legal requirements and available resources.
RESPONSIBILITIES
HR Project Leadership & Prioritization
• Take full ownership of HR projects from design to implementation, ensuring the company is fully compliant with HR-related legislation effective in 2026 and 2027 (including mobility budget, pay transparency, working time registration, etc.).
• Define, structure and manage HR priorities, ensuring that HR initiatives are delivered in a coherent and timely manner.
Compensation & Benefits
• Act as the subject-matter expert for all Compensation & Benefits topics
• Support the Management on the annual budget creation with all HR impacts.
• Oversee and coordinate operational tasks, including :
o Car fleet
o Insurances
o Pension plans
o FIP
Payroll
o Conducting the monthly payroll in coordination with the external payroll provider (SD Worx)
o Maintaining employee database & prepare reports.
o Serve as the reference point for complex or sensitive hard HR matters
Legal: ensuring legal compliance of all company rules & policies
Reporting: produce and submit reports on general HR activity.
Innovation & Change: bring new ideas to the table, review existing policies & processes
• Keep up-to-date with the latest HR trends and best practice.
THE CANDIDATE PROFILE
The ideal candidate has the following profile:
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in Hard HR (Payroll, Compensation & Benefits, Labor Law & Social Law) and/or in a similar position
• Master the full scope of Hard HR
• Senior experience in annual budget creation using compensation and benefit expertise
• Ability to manage HR project from A to Z in full autonomy (inline with legislation change in 2026 and 2027)
• Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
• Hands-on attitude , energetic, goal & solution-oriented, pro-active with determination and perseverance
• Ability to challenge the status quo in a constructive manner
• Natural interpersonal and communication skills
• Dynamic, driven and energetic team player thriving and problem solving
• Experience in interaction with Executive Committee is a plus
• Fluent in French and Dutch
• Excellent knowledge of MS Windows Office suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Experience in the SDWorks plateform is an asset
