Senior DevOps Engineer (Azure & AKS)

For our end-client, we are looking for a senior Azure & AKS Senior DevOps Engineer. You will take the lead in designing and building Cloud Native and AKS-based workloads, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and driving innovation on a shared Kubernetes platform.

What you’ll do

• Lead Design & Build: Take ownership of the architectural design and infrastructure construction for new Azure workloads during the project phase.
• Onboarding & Intake: Manage the intake and "build" phase for Cloud Native and AKS-based workloads.
• Platform Innovation: Develop and innovate the shared AKS platform and create new cloud-native solutions and products.
• Team Guidance: Direct, advise, and guide various DevOps teams through the onboarding process.
• Agile Collaboration: Work within a Scrum/Kanban framework, taking a lead role in technical intake sessions.

What we’re looking for

• 3+ years of experience in a similar DevOps/Cloud Engineering role.
• Azure Mastery: Deep knowledge of PaaS, IaaS, Networking, and Security.
• Kubernetes Expertise: Hands-on experience with Azure AKS.
• Infrastructure as Code: Proficiency in Azure DevOps and ARM/Bicep templates.
• Soft Skills: Analytical, meticulous, and capable of leading and advising engineering teams.
• Languages: Proficiency in Dutch, NL residency (no sponsorship).

Tooling: Azure AKS, Bicep/ARM, Azure DevOps, Networking, Security.

Nice to have

• Certifications: Azure AKS Certified.
• Frameworks: Knowledge of the Azure Well-Architected Framework.
• Observability: Experience with Grafana and Prometheus.
• Workflow: Experience with Jira.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: 6 April 2026.
• Initial Duration: Until 30 June 2026 (with options to extend until March 2028).
• Hours: 32–36 hours per week.
• Deadline: Respond before 12 March, 17:00.
