Full Stack Engineer B2B or Fulltime

About the Role

We're looking for a Full Stack Engineer (Backend Heavy) who is passionate aboutbuilding robust, scalable systems that power financial and operational workflows.You'll spend roughly 80% of your time on backend work — designing APIs,modeling databases, and owning integrations — with the remaining 20% onfrontend contributions.

You'll work autonomously and take real ownership of your initiatives, whilecollaborating closely with a team of Engineers and Product Managers spreadacross 4 countries. Clear communication and the ability to work independently arejust as important as your technical skills.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, document, and maintain performant, reliable, scalable, andsecure backend systems — including RESTful APIs, MCPs, and third-party andinternal system integrations
• Build and maintain an internal MDM-like system for creating and managingmaster records and data mappings across financial and operational systems
• Model and implement secure, performant, scalable relational databases
• Maintain and optimize backend infrastructure on GCP to meet evolving projectneeds
• Write clean, standardized, maintainable, and testable code that solves realbusiness and technical problems
• Collaborate with FullStack, Application, and Data Engineers to developintegrations and expose system data across the organisation via APIs
• Contribute to frontend development as needed, working within React-basedapplications
• Oversee projects from conception to deployment, ensuring smooth executionand delivery
• Support day-to-day system maintenance and handle BAU troubleshootingacross backend systems and integrations

Must-Have Skills

Technical

• 5+ years of experience with TypeScript and Node.js, building integrations andAPIs
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), with theability to collaborate on data topics with Data Engineers
• 2+ years of experience with React and/or its frameworks (e.g. Next.js)
• 2+ years of experience with cloud infrastructure (e.g. GCP)
• 1+ years of experience with Kubernetes
• 1+ years of experience with integration testing
• Comfortable leveraging AI coding assistants as productivity tools, with adisciplined approach to reviewing all AI-generated code
• In-depth understanding of databases, caching, and design patterns
• Strong grasp of security best practices
• Comfortable with version control (Git)

Interpersonal & Organisational

• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken) — able todiscuss technical topics clearly with both engineers and non-technicalstakeholders
• Proven ability to work autonomously across multiple initiatives with minimalguidance
• Experience working in international, cross-cultural, distributed teams

Nice to Have

• Experience with NestJS or Bun
• Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code
