About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Developer to join our dynamic team at Magentateam. In this pivotal role, you will lead the development of robust front-end applications and backend automation processes supporting Deutsche Telekom Technik. Your expertise will be instrumental in designing and building front-end assistants (robots), system overlays, and interfaces such as SOAP and REST, all tailored to meet specific customer requirements. You will translate complex product and stakeholder needs into maintainable, scalable software solutions, ensuring seamless integration and automation across platforms. Collaborating closely with internal teams, you will contribute to research and development initiatives aimed at enhancing our tools and processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on innovative projects that set new standards in customer service and operational efficiency, all within a supportive and growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess several years (4+) of experience working within the IT industry, demonstrating advanced skills in programming and application design. A solid understanding of system integration, cloud systems, and DevOps concepts is essential. Proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, C++, Python, and familiarity with tools like Selenium, GitLab, Docker, and database management systems like MySQL or MariaDB is required. Candidates should have experience with application development environments like PHP Storm and object-oriented programming principles. Strong communication skills in English (upper intermediate level, B2+) are mandatory, and knowledge of the German language will be considered an advantage. The candidate should be self-motivated, organized, eager to learn and teach new technologies, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of robust front-end applications and backend automation processes supporting Deutsche Telekom Technik.

• Translate requirements from product managers and steering teams into maintainable, scalable software solutions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment, gather feedback, and refine solutions.
• Apply programming languages and tools to develop cross-platform automation and integration solutions.
• Address complex technical challenges through creative problem-solving and innovative technologies.
• Actively participate in research and development initiatives aimed at improving processes, tools, and overall system performance.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
