Lead Java Engineer (Retail)

Our client is a leading national retailer looking for an experienced Lead Java Engineer to join on an initial 6 month contract + likely extensions.?

The ideal candidate will have the following experience:

  • Experience with the following: Java, Spring, micro services, restful API, enterprise integration patterns, database and SQL, unit test, Junit (TDD is preferred), CICD, Azure Cloud services
  • Experience in a Lead Engineer role or similar within cross functional agile squads
  • Comfortable working majority as a hands on Engineer in the squad
  • Experience in digital and eCommerce
  • Experience in large, complex and dynamic environments
  • Comfortable collaborating with non-technical stakeholders

Must be Melbourne based with three days per week in-office

Nice to have requirements

  • Experience working in retail environments
  • Experience with in-store digital solutions
  • Experience working in innovation teams
