About The Role

Brighton Solutions is seeking a talented UX/UI Designer for a contract-to-hire position supporting a suite of modern digital platforms and web applications. While the role offers flexibility for remote work, candidates located in the greater Chicago area or Northwest Indiana are preferred. This position involves close collaboration with Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and IT teams to craft engaging, accessible, and user-friendly digital experiences. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive end-to-end product design expertise, from initial discovery and user research to final UI/UX delivery. The UX/UI Designer will be responsible for executing high-quality design assets, ensuring consistency across products, and contributing to the ongoing enhancement of design systems and accessibility standards. This role is pivotal in translating complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, functional, and impactful design solutions that drive user engagement and satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in UX, UI, or Product Design within an enterprise environment
  • Portfolio showcasing at least three comprehensive case studies demonstrating end-to-end design processes
  • Proficiency with Figma or similar design tools, including auto-layout, component libraries, variables, and prototyping features
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Experience creating user flows, wireframes (low- to high-fidelity), and interactive prototypes
  • Experience conducting and synthesizing user research to inform design decisions
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively present design concepts and rationale to diverse stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers
  • Curiosity and a proactive approach to staying current with UX tools, trends, and best practices

Responsibilities

  • Own the execution of UX/UI design across a portfolio of digital products and web applications
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Marketing, Customer Success, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver design solutions
  • Present design concepts, prototypes, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Apply user-centered design principles to develop new features, enhancements, and system improvements
  • Conduct user research, analyze insights, and translate findings into actionable design strategies
  • Create detailed user flows, wireframes, interactive prototypes, and UI specifications to guide development
  • Leverage usability testing and analytics to validate design decisions and optimize user experiences
  • Contribute to and maintain design systems, component libraries, and accessibility standards to ensure consistency
  • Ensure all designs meet WCAG accessibility guidelines and usability best practices
  • Partner with development teams to facilitate accurate implementation and smooth design handoff
  • Identify UX issues proactively, propose effective solutions, and iterate designs based on feedback and testing results
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and timely delivery of all UX/UI design assets
  • Perform additional duties related to UX/UI design as assigned by management
