About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled UI/UX Designer to join our team in support of our federal client projects. This full-time role involves designing intuitive, user-centered digital interfaces for both legacy and modernized systems. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and stakeholders, to deliver high-quality, accessible, and scalable design solutions that align with mission objectives. This position offers a hybrid work arrangement based in Ashburn, VA, requiring presence at the office once a week.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of creative design expertise, technical awareness, and leadership capabilities. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and implementing user interfaces that enhance user experience, ensuring consistency across multiple applications, and advocating for best practices in UX and accessibility standards. Your role will also include mentoring junior designers, developing design strategies, and applying user research insights to inform design decisions.

Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Interactive Design, Architecture, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Human Factors, or related field
- Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience in UI/UX, visual, or interaction design
- Proficiency with enterprise design tools such as Figma (preferred), Axure, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
- Experience designing responsive web applications that are intuitive and accessible across various devices
- Strong understanding of design trade-offs, technical constraints, and maintainability considerations
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and work collaboratively within a team
- Participate as a core member of Agile Scrum teams, delivering iterative UI/UX design solutions
- Conceptualize, design, and refine user-centered interfaces for diverse software applications, encompassing both legacy and modernized systems
- Establish and maintain consistent look-and-feel, style guides, and standardized UI components across multiple applications
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, developers, and business analysts to translate requirements into effective design solutions
- Create wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs to communicate concepts and user flows
- Develop and uphold comprehensive design systems and style guides to ensure consistency
- Partner with technical teams to assess design feasibility and refine approaches accordingly
- Ensure the usability, accessibility, and quality of all design deliverables, adhering to project timelines
- Mentor and support junior designers, fostering skill development and best practices within the team
- Apply user research, feedback, and data analytics to continuously improve design strategies
- Promote UX best practices, accessibility standards, and design consistency across all projects
