We are partnering with a U.S.-based technology company building a next-generation, space-based cellular broadband network designed to deliver 4G/5G connectivity everywhere on Earth—on land, at sea, and in the air—directly to standard mobile devices.
As part of its growing global operations, the company is expanding its Network Operations Center (NOC) capabilities and is seeking a NOC Engineer based in Argentina.
This position plays a critical role in monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting a global network of gateways and telemetry stations that combine satellite and ground-based communications technologies.
Role Overview
The NOC Engineer is responsible for real-time monitoring, incident response, and first-line technical support for a globally distributed satellite and cellular network.
The role focuses on ensuring service availability, rapid fault resolution, and accurate incident documentation while collaborating closely with engineering and operations teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Monitoring & Operations
- Monitor connectivity and operational status of global gateway and telemetry stations.
- Ensure service assurance through continuous real-time monitoring and rapid incident response.
- Operate and maintain fault management and monitoring systems to track network health and performance.
Incident Management & Troubleshooting
- Detect, analyze, and troubleshoot network anomalies and failures.
- Perform root-cause analysis and escalate incidents according to defined procedures.
- Maintain detailed incident records, manage trouble tickets, and generate operational reports.
Technical Support
- Provide first-line technical support via phone, email, and chat.
- Support preventive and corrective maintenance activities for satellite teleport systems and infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex RF, IP, and baseband systems with minimal supervision.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with engineering, field operations, and other NOC teams during escalations, upgrades, and system changes.
- Support coordination during maintenance windows and network events.
Experience & Education
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Satellite Communications, Cellular Networks, or similar operational environments.
- Degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
Technical Skills
- Hands-on experience with RF systems, including HPAs, converters, antenna drive systems, and baseband equipment.
- Solid knowledge of IP networking, fiber optics, modems, multiplexers, and broadband systems.
- Experience with remote monitoring tools, system diagnostics, and remote desktop platforms.
- Demonstrated experience using monitoring and fault management tools.
Operational Skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex systems independently.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced operational environment.
