Test Consultant (Mid-Level)

🚀 We're Hiring: Mid-Level Test Consultants (4 Positions)

We are currently looking for 4 Mid-Level Test Consultants to join a long-term public sector project focused on ensuring software quality across multiple IT domains.

📍 Location: Brussels + partial remote

📅 Start Date: June 2026 (at the earliest)

🕐 Type: Full-time and long-term assignment

🗣️ Languages: Dutch or French + English (passive knowledge of the other national language is a plus)

🎯 Your Role

As a Mid-Level Test Consultant, you will play an active role in ensuring software quality across multiple IT projects. You'll collaborate closely with business and technical teams, contribute to improving testing methodologies, and help strengthen overall quality processes.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities

• Perform functional and non-functional testing across various IT projects
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, and developers
• Work in Agile environments with iterative cycles and cross-functional teams
• Create, maintain, and execute:
• Test cases
• Test scenarios
• Gherkin scripts
• Apply test design techniques and ensure adequate test coverage
• Document test results and manage defect tracking
• Manage and prepare test data
• Provide tool demonstrations (SoapUI, Postman, Swagger) to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Support and coach fellow testers
• Contribute to continuous improvement of the testing process

💡 Required Experience

✔️ Minimum 3 years of experience as a Test Engineer

✔️ Strong understanding of end-to-end testing processes

✔️ Experience with Agile testing methodologies

✔️ Experience writing test cases & Gherkin scripts

✔️ Experience managing test data

✔️ Strong functional and non-functional testing experience

🔧 Technical Skills

Experience with:

• Testing frameworks: Agile Testing, ISTQB, STBox, TMap
• Jira, Confluence, Xray
• SoapUI, Postman, Swagger
• Test design techniques and coverage metrics
• Requirements analysis and documentation
• Scripting language and/or SQL
• Basic application architecture knowledge
• Knowledge of Java and containerization is a plus
